A Perth cat has used up at least one of its nine lives after an embedded arrow missed all of his organs.
Two-year-old Tiggar was taken to the Foothills Animal Hospital on Wednesday after residents found him with an arrow in his back in Armadale.
"He is a very lucky cat as the arrow missed all organs and he is expected to make a full recovery," RSPCA WA chief inspector Amanda Swift said.
"It is appalling that any person can deliberately hurt an animal, and we are very concerned with the recent acts of cruelty we have seen towards cats."
In the past two weeks, two cats have been thrown from vehicles in Perth.
Ms Swift said people who lived in the Armadale area should watch their pets and remain vigilant.
Anyone who has any information about Tiggar or has witnessed animal cruelty is urged to contact the RSPCA.
